AEDM2017, Day 23 Nine-Eyes

Art Everyday Month is an artistic challenge established by Leah Koildas at her blog Creative Every Day. She explains it pretty well on a page dedicated to the Challenge. Essentially, those participating set themselves the goal of producing some one creative work each day for the entire month of November. In some respects it is like Inktober, which I opted out of due to a lot of scheduling conflicts...but maybe next year I can do both challenges. So, for this year, for Creative every Day Month, I will be posting fresh new drawings and other artwork here at my personal blog. some of these will get statted-up as critters for our Hereticwerks blog--you didn't really think otherwise did you?--but some will be just for the sake of trying some technique out, or to do something I haven't done in a while.

Today I did this...

Running out of time for art today...
So here's one of the Six Wizards of Clatterdelve. This guy wears a magical cap studded with Nine Red Eyes. Gotta go. Have a Happy Holiday--whichever one works best for you.

  1. WOW - you did this today (running out of time) or you just posted today? I get all excited about just finishing a line drawing when I'm running out of time! :)

    1. Yep. I've been up for a few hours and this was one of those things that I wanted done earlier, rather than later, so I can concentrate on the rest of the day. It also helps that I've been stockpiling photos for textures the last couple days on my daily walks...

  2. This guy is really cool :-) What kind of dimensions can he see with those extra eyes? I love what the foggy yellow layer adds to the atmosphere, it's like a suggestion of magic and mystery. The whole thing breathes magic and power, very nice work, personally I would love to have this guy as a protector or guard ;-)

    1. Thanks! I am writing up the details for this guy later on as part of the Clatterdelve adventures for Hereticwerks. This wizard just might make a good protector/mentor for the adventurers...hmmm....

  3. I adore and appreciate the layer after layer. It's incredible you were able to do this on the run.

    1. There's something about a deadline that can motivate me sometimes...when it doesn't stress me out. This was a lot of fun in how it all flowed into place in one take start to finish. Sometimes the piece just wants to be done with me, I guess...
